Tao Yang, PhD
University of Michigan, Department of Neurology
Dr. Tao Yang is a PostDoc in University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He focuses on neural development and related diseases. Recently, he found that defective pyramidal “balloon” neuron erases the interneuron nearby and causes severe epilepsy. With his movie, he showed directly how the following neuron bypasses its leading neuron to expand cerebral cortex. Although the very busy schedule, Dr. Yang still can find time to play with his family, running, hiking, soccering, and learning math, and spend 2 hours every week to run 10 miles. Dr. Yang mentored several undergraduates and most of them got in the medical school.
