Dr. Stefanie Geisler is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Her research focuses on mechanisms of axon degeneration and pain in peripheral neuropathies with the goal to identify new therapeutic agents that can be translated into relevant treatment strategies for patients. She received her MD from the Charite, the Medical School of the Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany and completed neurology residency and neuromuscular fellowship at Washington University in Saint Louis. For her research on molecular mechanisms of chemotherapy-induced neuropathy, she was awarded the Wolfe Neuropathy Research Prize from the American Neurological Association.
