Nigel Pedersen, MBBS

Dr. Nigel Pedersen is an Assistant Professor of Neurology (Emory) and Biomedical Engineering (Georgia Tech). Dr. Pedersen completed medical school at the University of Sydney, before undertaking research and clinical training at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School, and Epilepsy and Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowships at Massachusetts General Hospital. He was recruited to Emory from BIDMC to develop translational research in the epilepsy division. His clinical practice focuses on Epilepsy Surgery and SEEG, and his research, in human subjects and mouse models, is examining the interrelationship of sleep-wake circuits and epilepsy.
