Mellanie Springer, MD, MS

Dr. Springer is an Assistant Professor of Neurology and vascular neurologist at the University of Michigan. She has a MD degree (Albert Einstein College of Medicine (AECOM)), a master’s degree in cognitive neuroscience (University of Toronto), and a master’s degree in clinical research methods (AECOM). Her research interests include racial and ethnic disparities in stroke incidence and outcomes, and post-stroke cognitive impairment. She is a K01 career development awardee funded by the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke/ NIH. Her research involves adapting and testing a behavioral intervention to increase intent to call 911 upon recognition of stroke symptoms.
