Marjorie Gondré-Lewis, PhD
Dr. Gondré-Lewis serves as Professor at Howard University. She obtained her Bachelor’s from New York University and her M.S./Ph.D in Neuroscience from Albert Einstein College of Medicine with postgraduate training from the NICHD/NIH. She leads a Developmental Neuropsychopharmacology Laboratory which investigates mechanisms of reward and drug abuse and impacts of maltreatment during early life. Animal models test the pharmacology, genetics, and biochemistry of neuropsychiatric disorders and their comorbidities. Clinical Translational work addresses health disparities, genetic variations and barriers to brain health. She has authored >50 research articles. She teaches students in the Health Sciences schools and serves on numerous school-wide, national and international committees and groups.
