Lucy L. Gibson is an Alzheimer’s Society funded PhD student under Professor Dag Aarsland at Kings College London, UK. She graduated with distinction from medical school at University College London, receiving prizes for placing in the top 1%. Before medical school, she received a first-class degree in Neuroscience from Oxford University. Dr Gibson first studied the psychiatric nature and demographic differences in presentations of autoimmune encephalitis in an Academic Foundation Program before pursuing a NIHR Academic Clinical Fellowship in Psychiatry at KCL. Here, she became interested in the role of neuronal autoantibodies impacting cognition, both in encephalitis and broader contexts.
