Joseph Berger, MD

Joseph R. Berger, M.D., is Professor of Neurology in the Department of Neurology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Between1981-1994, he was on faculties of Neurology and Internal Medicine of the University of Miami School of Medicine and held the Whigham-Berger Endowed Chair for the study of the neurological complications of HIV/AIDS. Between1995-2013, Dr. Berger was the Chairman of the Department of Neurology at the University of Kentucky. In 2015, he returned to Philadelphia and joined the Penn faculty.
