Jay Bronder had a peripatetic path to medicine. After completing a degree in Chemical Engineering, he pursued a career in pharmaceuticals sales. By serendipity, he was assigned to a neuroscience division and found his passion for Neurology. Despite a successful career, he quit in his early 30’s to pursue medical school and Neurology residency at the University of Maryland. He just finished an Epilepsy fellowship at Johns Hopkins and is now an adjunct assistant professor. He enjoys researching EEG use in identifying various dementias. Recently, he joined the Neurology Center of DC and sees general neurology and epilepsy patients.
