Dr. J. Ricardo Carhuapoma is a Neurointensivist at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He is Associate Professor of Neurology, Neurosurgery and Anesthesiology & Critical Care Medicine at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He received his medical degree from Cayetano Heredia University in 1991. Dr. Carhuapoma has conducted research in ischemic stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage and cerebral edema following ICH. His current research interest centers in understanding the impact that Devastating Brain Injury has on Quality of Life.
