Dr. Kamel is the Vice Chair for Research and Chief of Neurocritical Care in the Department of Neurology at Weill Cornell Medicine. He is also the Director of the Clinical and Translational Neuroscience Unit in the Feil Family Brain and Mind Research Institute and the Department of Neurology at Weill Cornell Medicine. His research focuses on identifying new risk factors for stroke. He is helping to lead several multicenter randomized clinical trials and he has published over 300 scientific papers, including in leading journals such as NEJM and JAMA.
