Eric Landsness, MD, PhD

Eric Landsness completed an MD/PhD program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the laboratory of Dr. Giulio Tononi where he became an expert in the underlying mechanisms of sleep, plasticity-dependent learning, and their impacts on brain disease. After completing a 4-year neurology residency and 1-year sleep fellowship at Washington University he joined the faculty under the mentorship of Jin-Moo Lee. He is funded by the NIH, American Heart Association, American Academy of Sleep Medicine Foundation, the Groff Charitable Trust. His lab studies how sleep modulates stroke recovery and the development of sleep-focused treatments and interventions to improve outcomes in patients with neurological disease.
