Claudia Figueroa-Romero, PhD is an Assistant Research Scientist at the University of Michigan Department of Neurology and a team scientist in Dr. Eva L. Feldman’s laboratory. She obtained her doctoral degree in Dr. Ann B. Vojtek’s laboratory at the University of Michigan Department of Biological Chemistry, and her Bachelor’s in Science degree in Biology from San Diego State University. Dr. Figueroa-Romero is interested in how internal and external environmental factors contribute to neurodegeneration by modifying epigenetic marks, disturbing metal uptake, and altering the microbiome and the immune system. She is funded by a minority supplement grant from NIEHS.
