Bonnie Breining, PhD recently completed a postdoctoral research fellowship in the Department of Neurology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She received a BA in Cognitive Sciences and Psychology from Rice University in 2008, an MSc in Cognitive Neuropsychology and Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of London in 2009, and a PhD in Cognitive Science from Johns Hopkins University in 2016.  Her research focuses on better understanding the cognitive mechanisms underlying written and spoken language and their neural correlates, and on applying this work to improving diagnosis and treatment of aphasia resulting from stroke and neurogenerative conditions.
