Ana-Claire Meyer, MD, MSHS, CTropMed, FAAN

Ana-Claire Meyer, MD, MSHS, CTropMed, FAAN is the Senior Clinical Advisor to the Principal Assistant for Acquisition for the U.S. Army Medical Research and Development Command and an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Neurology at Johns Hopkins University. The office of the Principal Assistant for Acquisition oversees advanced development of medical products from late-stage FDA regulated clinical trials to licensure and then the follow-on initial production and fielding to ultimate users. The Command's diverse product line includes vaccines, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and information technology. Dr. Meyer provides strategic technical, clinical and regulatory oversight across medical product development efforts and coordination with key stakeholders. Before joining USAMRDC, Dr. Meyer served on the faculties at the University of California, San Francisco and Yale University. She was based in Kenya for nearly 7 years where her National Institutes of Health funded research program focused on HIV-associated neurocognitive disorders (HAND), prevention of cryptococcal meningitis, and neurocysticercosis. She obtained her medical degree from Harvard Medical School and completed her training at the Partners Neurology Program. She completed a fellowship as a Veterans Affairs/Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar at the University of California Los Angeles where she obtained a Master of Science in Health Services.
