Amy Rumora, PhD

Dr. Amy Rumora is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology at Columbia University. She received her B.A. in biochemistry from Mount Holyoke College and her Ph.D. in biochemistry from the University of Vermont. She then completed her postdoctoral fellowship in Dr. Eva Feldman's laboratory at the University of Michigan. Her research focuses on the differential effect of saturated and unsaturated fatty acids on peripheral neuropathy in murine models of prediabetes. Dr. Rumora’s research is supported by an NIH K99/R00 Pathway to Independence award.
